The day was hotter today, I woke up from a fairly deep sleep.

‘Where have you been? I was looking for you earlier, here you are.’

‘Oh, I was doing some work for a while, I meant to eat lunch afterward, but I fell asleep, sorry about the mess in your room, he he.’

Today is my last day living with Natalie, my sister. I decided to move out because I’m getting married tomorrow.

We’re not very close, Natalie is a very introvert person, she doesn’t even know my favorite food!

I, meanwhile, know so much about her, so many things that I even remind her when she forgets what she must did that day.

I still remember when she pretended to fall asleep in the car because she didn’t want to chat with me during a traffic jam.

I still remember when she told her friends that I was her driver when I came to her graduation.

She’s very unique, even though she’s annoying because she doesn’t seem to think that i’m exist, but I still love her.

Our parents passed away ten years ago. It all happened so fast, I didn’t even have time to cry at that moment. they died in an accident when they were about to pick us up from school. I was confused, and at that time, I wasn’t familiar with death.

I thought that my mom and dad would be with me forever.

I watched my sister all day asking, where are mom and dad? and I just said, they’re on the moon. they’ll come home every time we fall asleep because of the time difference there and on earth.

Until finally when she became a teenager, I told her the truth.

And until now I still remember what she said: ‘Then I’ll be an astronaut, so I can go to the moon to visit mom and dad!’

I just smiled.

“What would you like to eat tonight?” Natalie said.

‘Let’s get something to eat together! You can’t say no now, tomorrow no one will want to take someone as cold as you out for a meal.’

‘Huh, okay…’ she said.

‘Don’t miss me, stupid. From now learn to cook by yourself, pick up the clothesline when it rains, and feed the cat three times a day.’

‘I know that, do you think I’m still a kid?’

‘Hahaha, so you’ve grown up. Then you can earn your own money now, right?’ I taunted her.

She looked sullen as usual, but that’s how I approached someone who didn’t want to talk to anyone, including her own brother.

The day I got married finally arrived. By the way, in our family, there was a tradition of the younger one releasing his older brother or sister who had gotten married and saying sentences such as gratitude or congratulations whatsoever.

The party was simple, held in the garden of our house, with the aim of saving on wedding costs and also so that this event felt intimate because only close family attended.

I whispered to my wife,

‘I’ll bet you what, Natalie just says congratulations and goes home to sleep.’

My wife just chuckles.

‘Alright, for the groom’s sister, please say a few words to her brother, the place and time is yours’ said the host.

She was very pretty today in her green dress.

‘Hi, everyone. First of all I’d like to say welcome to our event and I hope everyone enjoys the party, I would like to wish a happy marriage to my brother, Kiel, who today is officially free from the annoyance of being ignored by his sister.’

‘Kiel, I’m really happy to see you have a new life, a new atmosphere, and of course the baby that you’ve been waiting for, sooner or later.’

‘I still remember when you cried in the living room when you got a call that you were fired from your job back then, you must be confused to start all over again right? You worked so hard for me. You know what? I cried as well from my room.’

‘You know when you told me on the day I graduated from school that my makeup was very pretty and didn’t look like the usual Natalia, even though I looked annoyed and didn’t answer your compliment, I smiled happily inside.’

‘You really are everything in my life, I’m sorry that I can’t express my happiness when living with you, haha.’

‘May good things always surround you, I will miss you so much!’

I paused, and was suddenly stunned.

I then went over to her, and we hugged, ...for the first time.

The moon is quite bright tonight, it looks like mom and dad are smiling to see their two children having a rare moment.
